Documentary Photography

Lo first became familiar with a camera at the age of 16 years old with a strong interest in self portraits. Photography became a way for the artist to express and discover themselves. Their first concentration was called “Stuck in the South”. A project that processed their experience of growing up queer in Arkansas. From then their work evolved into documenting living between Southern California and the South. The people they’ve met along the way, and how that has encouraged their own authenticity.
